Who: Daniel Baer and Daniel Pianetti are the founding members of the studio No Plans, which is dedicated to digital and web design.

When: Baer and Pianetti met while studying visual communication at ECAL. They worked together on various projects before founding No Plans in 2013.

Where: Based in London, Baer worked in web and brand design for companies including Mr Porter and Campbell Hay. Pianetti moved to New York to work as a book designer and art director. While there he also co-founded the online platform for collaborative research Are.nA.

What: No Plans’s main practice is designing websites, for which it has developed a meticulous and detailed coding craft that is capable of adapting to the demanding needs of its clients. The studio has designed websites for artist Nicolas Delaroche, photographers Naho Kubota and Marlen Keller, the shop for designers Chen Chen & Kai Williams, and institutions such as the Central Saint Martins arts and design college, London, the Biennale de l’Image en Mouvement and the charity Unuounu.

Why: Web design is increasingly defined by pre-formatted standards. Through their practice as a studio and as members of collaborative platforms, No Plans enrich the visual web landscape and the core knowledge of coding.
